A Dimitri Update

My good friend Suzanne who traveled last month on the advocacy trip to Kyrgyzstan sent me this update about Dimitri.

I have been wanting to tell you how great Dimitri seems to be doing. He has found a way to be happy in his circumstances, which speaks to the strength of his spirit. He is social and playful and sure of himself.

It seems that Dimitri is doing well. I am quite sure it is due in part to all the prayers of friends and family. Aside from having him home, doing well is all we could ask for.
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!

An Update

Below is part of an update we received from one of the adoption agencies working in Kyrgyzstan.

at this time court cannot accept any cases for processing until General Prosecutor's Office finishes their investigation about adoptions and procedures. As of today, Prosecutor's Office has not yet finished investigation. We do not know the exact time frame when this investigation is going to be completed. It can possibly be another 6 months.
Our facilitator also let me know that domestic adoptions are taking place in Kyrgyzstan and waiting children might go to domestic adoption.

I am happy to know that orphans there are making into families but honestly, with over 6000 orphans in Kyrgyzstan, do they have to choose the ones that have previously been matched and have waiting families?
And how long will this investigation take? It has already been over a year.
Is there no end to this insane process???????????????
